The Perfect Crime
  • The Perfect Crime is a cast concrete chair with the imprint of a Georgian chair set into its surface.

Designed by Peter Woollin & Kate Staddon, The Perfect Crime was first shown as a prototype at Designersblock 2005 where it caught the eye of Anthropologie (Urban Outfitters group).  They commissioned a run of 25 for their stores in the USA and more recently London.

The chair has been exhibited at the Rockefeller Centre with Anthropologie, Liberties of London and featured in the Independent Magazine.

"Many of Woollin's pieces reference and reinvent old or classic design characteristics.  His modern concrete creations take on an archetypal and minimal chair shape, but interject a flavour of yesteryear by casting a traditional backrest and leg detail into the material surface.  Suitable for outdoor use, the casting detail will become accentuated with weather and time."
